Chamber Chats Featuring Provost Jenn Capps from HSU

Thursday, September 24, 2020 - 12:00pm to 12:45pm

Chamber Chats is a virtual series aimed at and featuring local business people who are showing up and learning to pivot in today's environment. This is a great opportunity to stay in touch with your business community and share ideas, strength, and inspiration across industries. As always following the presentation there will be time for discussion and Q&A.

Our featured speaker is Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Humboldt State University, Jenn Capps, PhD. Provost Capps is new to HSU and comes to our community with a strong educational background. Provost Capps is a professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology, with an expertise in high-risk juvenile offenders, and a licensed professional counselor. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Mason University, her master’s degree in counseling psychology at the University of Colorado Denver and her doctorate in counseling psychology with a focus in education and supervision from the University of Northern Colorado.

Provost Capps will update us on some of the important work HSU is doing as an institution this year. They are currently engaging in an academic master planning process (focusing on the direction of academics) and a strategic planning process (focusing on the overall direction of the institution). She would love to get feedback from the group and discuss future opportunities of engagement and partnership between HSU and the community.

Pre-Registration required for this Zoom call.

Open to all not just Chamber members.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Please email if you did not receive confirmation.
