Advertising Opportunities
There is a number of exciting ways in which you can advertise through the chamber and get additional exposure for your business. One of these popular ways is to apply to host one of our monthly First Thursday Networks. Your business location would make a great venue for our monthly network, and what better way is there to draw the attention of Arcata’s business leaders to what makes your business special?
Coinciding with a future stage of our website, you will have the ability to have a web presence through the Arcata Chamber of Commerce website via an attractive web page. Whether your company already has its own website or even if the opportunity and time hasn’t presented itself yet, using this service will provide a significant amount of additional exposure for your business. With your chosen content, we will be able to create a single page about your business that can also link to your main website, which will provide great value through enhanced web presence.
Other popular advertising opportunities include getting added or printed on Arcata Chamber resources and literature. Becoming a chamber member will get you listed in our membership directory, and you will have the option of advertising in our Visitor & Relocation brochure which is sent to visitors all across the country. Getting your insert into a chamber newsletter is now even easier than before, as we only require one digital copy to insert into our e-newsletter. If you are interested in taking advantage of our California Welcome Center location, we offer advertising services including brochure and business card displays on our racks, and attractive backlit panel displays on our highly visible center kiosk. Don’t forget, in 2007 we had over 14,000 visitors come through our doors!
Networking and Promotional Opportunities
One of the most popular ways to take advantage of being a chamber member is attending our monthly First Thursday Networks. Mix and mingle and make those important contacts, your business card is your admission! In addition to the networks you will also be notified throughout the year about business forums and important special/annual events, for which you will be invited to participate and benefit. The Arcata Chamber also has a number of active committees, which plan and implement various programs and strategies of the chamber. Another exciting benefit of being a chamber member is avenues for promotion. We are happy to do ribbon cuttings for your new business, grand re-opening, or ground breaking. In addition to a great photo opportunity, we send press releases to local media to gain exposure. Feel free to browse our online photo album to see photos from some of our past ribbon cuttings. Also, you can submit a public service announcement or press release that we can add to our monthly e-newsletter. Member Services
One of the most valuable yet least understood benefits of being a chamber member is our assistance with bulk mailing. For businesses that send out sales flyers, event flyers, paper newsletters, or other media, our bulk mail services are a valuable tool. It often ends up being the case that the monetary savings from using our bulk mail permit can exceed the annual membership dues of many of our small businesses in just a couple mailings, depending on the size of the mailings of course. We will help you prepare your bulk mailing paperwork, and in addition to your own mailing lists, we can print out mailing labels of our chamber membership. Do you need a Certificate of Origin endorsed? We can do that too!
Public Information
Another benefit for our chamber members is access to public information through our California Welcome Center. We have many free resources, including city maps, brochures, and various types of guides. In addition, we can provide information on economic development, demographics, employment, relocation, real estate, education, recreation, and shopping. Much of this information is also available on our website, under the section for relocators.
