GB's BBQ is a fully functioning mobile kitchen/smoking unit. Our mission is to bring the very best of The Gulf Coast to the Lost Coast, in other words their barbeque! Our unit is 17ft long with grills, smokers, stove top burners, and hot water!

Owner/Operator, Ben Stephanou, was born and raised in the city of Houston, Texas. After having enough of the heat and city he relocated to Northern California. However, he started to miss the weekend gatherings of family and friends for food and football. Out of necessity for some authentic Southern cooking he created GB's BBQ.

We have now been in Humboldt County for three years serving our signature dish: mesquite smoked "Texas Tri-Tip." Keeping with tradition we use hard woods, such as Mesquite from Texas, to smoke our meats. Our recipe and methodology ensures a perfect harmony of both local and authentic products. We want to give you good old fashioned home cooking.

Currently, we are still a mobile business, but looking to find a permanent home somewhere in the area. During the summer months we are a regular staple of County Fairs, Rodeos, Festivals, Weddings, Company Picnics, Church Functions, Fire Dept. Fund Raisers, Holiday Picnics, Neighborhood Gatherings, and of course Competitions. The winter weather does require us to position ourselves outside of the county. We are also licensed in South Lake Tahoe and can be found serving up the slopes of the Sierras! We can also do custom cooking, bring the meat and we will cook it for you.
